‘Shadow of the Colossus’ Movie Still On And In Consideration For 3-D?

A “Shadow of the Colossus” movie showed up in the press last year when “Scorpion King” producer Kevin Misher and and “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li” producer Justin Marks were announced as being on board. It’s always hard to tell what stage projects like video game film adaptations are in before they get dated, but a new interview with Marks makes it sounds as though “Shadow” may be moving along and into 3-D to boot.
“3-D continues to speak to the elimination of the middle creatively,” Marks told the Los Angeles Times. “If you don’t have an action tentpole that can conceivably be thought of in 3-D, you may as well make small indie movies because the studios aren’t going to be that interested.”
The Times credits Marks as currently being a part of “Sony’s action film ‘Shadow of the Colossus.’” That may just be an assumption on someone’s part, and it could merely be a coincidence that Marks is on the project and has such strong opinions about the demand for 3-D in film, but its not a huge leap in logic to assume that his “Shadow” film may be jumping out of the screen as soon as it comes out in theaters.
In a world where scale, texture and huge movements are such intrinsic parts of the story, 3-D could be a perfectly sensible approach for filming. Watching a Colossus come alive in 3-D IMAX kind of gives me chills just thinking about it, so here’s hoping this speculation has legs.

This movie is unfilmable, it should not even be attempted, especially not by the fucking hacks they have on board.
